Our Regulatory Status
Continuum Risk Advisory (HK) Ltd provides digital platform, risk-information collection, operational risk profiling, onboarding, documentation management and client-servicing support for clients, including clients in the digital-assets and technology sectors. Continuum Risk Advisory (HK) Ltd works in partnership with Freed Capital Limited. Freed Capital Limited holds a 20% minority shareholding in Continuum Risk Advisory (HK) Ltd.
Freed Capital Limited is a licensed insurance broker regulated by the Hong Kong Insurance Authority under the Insurance Ordinance (Cap. 41), Licence No. GB1096.
Continuum Risk Advisory (HK) Ltd does not independently hold an HKIA insurance broker licence and does not independently carry out regulated insurance broking activities. The Continuum platform does not itself provide regulated insurance advice or arrange insurance contracts.
Where a client requires regulated insurance advice, solicitation, negotiation, insurance placement or the arranging of an insurance contract, those activities are undertaken through Freed Capital Limited and only by individuals appropriately licensed by the Hong Kong Insurance Authority as Technical Representatives (Broker) and appointed to Freed Capital Limited.
Continuum Risk Advisory Pte Ltd, a private limited company registered in Singapore, UEN 202316352E, is an independent risk advisory consultancy and technology provider. Not an insurance broker.
Authorised Individuals
Only individuals who are:
- Representatives of Continuum Risk Advisory (HK) Ltd; and
- Licensed by the Hong Kong Insurance Authority as Technical Representatives (Broker) under Freed Capital Limited
are permitted to:
- Provide insurance advice; and
- Arrange or assist in arranging insurance contracts
on behalf of clients.
All such individuals operate under the supervision and regulatory framework of Freed Capital Limited.
Client Money and Claims Support
Continuum Risk Advisory (HK) Ltd does not receive, hold, control, process or transmit client premiums, return premiums or claims monies. Premiums must be paid only in accordance with payment instructions approved by Freed Capital Limited.
Continuum may provide administrative claims support, including document collection, information management, status tracking and coordination through the client-servicing platform. Continuum does not make claims decisions, determine policy coverage or provide regulated insurance advice in relation to claims. Any regulated insurance advice or formal broking activity in relation to a claim is undertaken through Freed Capital Limited and its appointed licensed Technical Representatives (Broker). Claims decisions remain subject to the relevant policy terms and the insurer’s decision.
Conflicts of Interest
Continuum Risk Advisory (HK) Ltd and Freed Capital Limited are committed to acting honestly, fairly, and in the best interests of clients.
Where potential conflicts of interest arise:
- Appropriate measures will be taken to manage such conflicts; and
- Where necessary, disclosures will be made to clients
